6th Month at Army Navy

After a whole day of packing stuffs and having it transferred to our new apartment, I and my Nelson together with our friend Erika headed to Army Navy, Tomas Morato to celebrate our 6th month anniversary. Too bad that the rest of TEDD and friends could not come. They just missed my Nelson's once in a lifetime treat. Ha!

Oh well. It was actually my friend's idea for us to celebrate there and yes it was an awesome night for us. We had their famous single quarter pounder burger, tasty freedom fries, cheesy quesadillas and libertea. I really enjoyed their food and would definitely recommend to all my friends.

My First at Marsha's

It was my first Marsha's encounter last Monday on our way back to Manila. I and my Nelson spent the weekend in his hometown, Cagayan. So there, I got the chance to drop by at Marsha's on our 3rd bus stop over at around 11pm. I really made sure I was awake that time 'cause the last time we traveled back to Manila, we were sleeping soundly that we missed dropping by at Marsha's. *tear

The place looks way far than what I have imagined of it. I thought of it as just a small place selling only its specialty (royal bibingka) and the likes. You go there, buy, and then leave. To my surprise, they have a Havaianas kiosk in front of their many counters and they also offer this meal-for-the-day thing. Apart from the Havs kiosk, they also have this fridge full of beverages of your choice. Their store, apart from being entirely clean, I must say, is big enough to accommodate passengers of at least 2 buses. And I could attest, they offer really good quality of foods. From taste to its freshness, nothing anyone could complain.

What we got to have that night is a tasty Miki soup with egg. We ordered one plus a brewed coffee and sat on
one of their comfy tables. But the soup is too hot that it's consuming our time cooling it. So we ended up taking out our food plus the coffee. Also, we bought 3 boxes of their famous Royal Bibingka for our families.

Below are some of our Marsha's encounter:

The Climb: Mt. Batulao, Nasugbu Batangas

"... Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side,
It's the climb."

-- Miley Cyrus

I still can't imagine how we managed to conquer the steep mountain of Batulao in Nasugbu, Batangas. It was my first climb experience and it wasn't easy at all. Specially for beginners like me. Rock climbing, rappelling, clinging for dear life, I consider it as one of those crucial things I've ever made in m
y entire life. All the more, God is so mighty that He made it possible for us to go up and down the summit safely. I have to admit I wasn't prepared for the climb. I'm a self admitted not-physically-fit. Working out is something I hate doing 'cause I easily run out of breath. My mom's got a heart ailment which probably is the reason why I have respiratory difficulties but it's never the reason for me to say no. I actually remember a time during the climb when I just keep on praying and calling on God's name. I think that was during our summit assault. It is one foggy morning, zero visibility. It was the group's goal to see the sunrise at the top of the summit so we went our way there and that's it! The most crucial part of the climb. Rock climbing. I used to think that rock climbing isn't that essential but when I was actually doing it, that's when I learned the value of life. That feeling when you're stuck in the middle of a climb, when you turn back there's nothing you will see but a steep cliff, you have no choice but to go on. One mistake and you're dead. I am aware that during the climb specially the summit assault, each and everyone of us was praying. And I thank God for hearing our prayers. Reaching the summit is the best feeling of all. It is one great achievement one could ever have. Special thanks to my Nelson, for always including me in such activities. I feel so overwhelmed to be one of those chosen few freedom climbers to reach the summit and witness the beauty of God's creation. It would have been nicer if everyone is given the chance to see it.

After the climb, we treated ourselves a toothsome late lunch/early dinner at Mahogany, Tagaytay. We had the famous Bulalo and Tawilis plus free bananas and pineapples for dessert. Priceless! We also attended a 6-7pm mass at the nearby church. Enough to call it a day. Thanks be to God!

I can't thank God enough for looking after us and making us safe all through out the climb. The climb that made us able to use our talents, build new friendships, strengthen the community and most of all, the climb that made us draw closer to God. Thank you Lord. This achievement is for you. 'Til the next climb!

Tumblr

I know I haven't blogged in a while. But it's not me being lazy or anything. I'm just kind of working on my Tumblr account these days. It's like I've had my Tumblr a couple years ago but I never really had interest in it 'cause I want something more than just photo blogging. So I ended up using random blog hosting sites.

Just the other day, a friend of mine asked me to reactivate my Tumblr account. I thought about it and gave it a try. So yeah, I am now kind of giving my Tumblr a new life. My Tumblr who's been dead for years (or so).

So, dear friends and readers I need a lil favor from you guys. Please follow mine and I'll follow yours back. You may click the photo below. Thanks heaps.

A Common Friend

I was scheduled for an interview with Telus this afternoon and I almost cancelled my appointment with them 'cause I thought I wouldn't be able to get up early today for I'm not really feeling well since last night until this morning. That actually happened. I woke up at around 11am but then, I have this i-should-go feeling (and I don't know why) so I texted Ms. Teen (from Telus) and asked if I could still make it until 2pm and she quickly replied yes.

After getting the text, I took a very quick shower, prepped up then headed to Discovery Suites, Ortigas. When I got to the 32nd floor, the guard instructed me to enter the room on the left side. So I went straight as the guard leads the way, walked through the door on the left and pow! Everyone's staring at me. I felt embarrassed 'cause I am well aware, it shows on face I don't have any idea of what to do. Ha! There were really a lot inside that little pantry where they are conducting initial interviews table by table.

After handing me the application sheet to sign, I sat at one of the tables near the glass window and filled out the form. Beside me are these three girls. One in yellow, grey and green. I felt like I wanna join them but hearing them talk to each other, they seem to be very close. I concluded they applied together. The girls in yellow and grey was called first for the initial interview and the one in green was left sat at the table. I
grabbed the chance and kinda leaped towards her and asked, "Applicant ka?" and the rest is history (by the way the girl in yellow immediately left after her interview).

So there, I got the chance to talk to her. I find her very warm and friendly. She talks a lot which I actually like because I can see myself in her. In a very short span of time, she's already shared a lot of things about her with me. We found out we came from the same school and we took up the same course. We really jived that quick. So yeah, we kept on sharing this and thats and in the middle of our conversation, she mentioned "Osorio". Rings a bell. Surname of my friend's ex.

Having overheard that word, I promptly asked her, do you know J----- Osorio? Then lead to different names (I'm not gonna lay much details with those names due to privacy matters) until I mentioned Lai Legaspi.

Btw, Lai is a very close friend of mine, she's originally from Meycauayan, Bulacan but she's now residing in the USA. Sad, I know. But it's all good 'cause even if we didn't get the chance to see each other, we remain in touch. She's very close to my heart and I will always be the sister she never had. I love her to bits!

So there, I found out that this girl in green whom I'm talking to is also close with Lai and that she's the cousin of one of those names I mentioned. Sorry readers, I know it's so vague but I can't really have these names exposed or else I'm dead. Taaa!

I'm just so happy today. I have to admit, I went to the interview without any hope of getting the job. I just want some random experience. I still can't get over how magically God made it happen for me to know this girl. This girl in green sat at the other table. Her name is Jeng.

Ps. I got the job! (Thank you Lord!)

The Feast by Bo Sanchez

It's been 2 weeks already since my first The Feast encounter at the PICC right after our jogging activity. Apart from hearing lots of random positive feed backs about this prayer meeting, I'm actually curious about how Bo Sanchez looks like in person for I only get to see him printed in papers. And books.

So there, my first Feast encounter was awesome. The first hour was the mass then the next hour was Bo's talk. The mass was held by a foreign priest, just not sure if he's an American or a Brit ('cause he sound like one). I would really like to think he's an American for there's a better chance for someone of their ethnicity to practice religion compared to Brits who have the most number of atheists. Makes me really confused. Either way, I'm amazed. Why do I bother anyway. Ha!

Moving on to Bo's talk, he's such an amazing, successful man. It shows. Someone who have such devotion and service just like his is a very rare find nowadays. No wonder he's blessed, so blessed. Not that I'm saying we are not, it just shows that the more you serve God, the more blessings He will grant you. Bo is an epitome of a successful man. Both financially and spiritually. I just wish we could all do the same.

The Feast is held every Sunday at the PICC and they offer 2 sessions in the morning and another 2 in the afternoon. I have to admit, waking up early in the morning is something I really hate doing. I always need someone to drag out of the bed but take this from me, I'm seriously working out on it.

I am planning to bring my own family to The Feast very soon, still hoping our tight schedules will somehow allow us to. For tomorrow, 29th of May, I and my Himno band mates are going to attend The Feast together. Also, to pray for one of our brothers Goden, who will soon be flying to Taiwan if I am not mistaken. May God be with you all the time.

So to those who haven't been to The Feast yet, now is your chance to have a better view in life. Take this from me, it's life changing.

Meow : Under My Feathers

Meow is a new British/Norwegian band currently working on their debut album in the UK and is composed of two individuals named Harley D and Sara Skjoldnes who is is worldly known (apart from being Ben Adams' girlfriend) as Miss Norway 2009.

They started working on their debut album since last year and now they have just started recording a few of their tracks from their debut album.

Being a fan myself, I personally admire Sara for being a talented beauty queen. She's more than just a pretty face. No wonder Ben fell under her spell. She's got a very nice tone of voice, a very relaxing one. Not that I'm comparing but she, at some point, sound a bit like Michelle Branch but I like hers better. True.

Looking at my playlist, I have to admit their music is way far from my genre, but then again I have to admit, when I first heard Sara, I fell in love with their music.

Below is a homemade video of their track Under My Feathers which I super like.

I See The Light (Cover)

Just this week, I posted an entry of how I loved Mandy Moore as Rapunzel on the movie Tangled. She also sang the movie OST, I See The Light. And me being a sort of a fan here, I tried singing just the beginning part of the song and I think I did just fine. It may not be the best rendition but I'm sure Mandy won't hate me for doing this. *wink

I Jog

It was my first time, last Sunday, to join my SFC brothers and sister ('cause she's only one) on their early morning jogging at the PICC. I have to admit, I never lived a healthy life style until today. It's one of those things I find hard to maintain. Balanced diet, regular exercise, proper sleep, it's so not me. I'm a self-admitted lazy to the max. I know it ain't good and I'm not proud of it as well. I'm just not really into it.

However, my last Sunday's jog made me a difference. I and ate Grace jogged around the elevated part of the
CCP in front. The first and second round was just okay. But the fourth and fifth, we're clinging for dear life. Ha! I easily get tired. Which only means I'm no healthy. But it was fun. And I would love to do it again if given the chance. I also tried the Arnis thing, and just as expected I'm ignorant of it.

All the same, I'll surely give it another round. Soon.

Tangled

It's been a long time since I last saw an animated movie and I should say Tangled is one of those best movies Walt Disney has ever made. It's like a modern-musical-version of Rapunzel and it's lovely scenes makes it more exciting.

Mandy Moore played Rapunzel in the movie and I must say she really did great on her role. She was able to use both her singing and acting talents which actually matches Rapunzel's personality on the movie. Mandy's got a smooth, mellow, mesmerizing voice and is really good for musicals and such.
Her voice, I must say, perfectly suits her role as Rapunzel.

Personally, I'm not really a fan of Moore but a couple of her songs got my like. All the more, I'm giving her thumbs up for doing great in the movie.

Below's the video of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi singing
the movie OST, I See The Light.

Fireproof

Yesterday's all rainy and wet. I cooked my famous Sopas and had a DVD marathon with my Nelson and girlfriends Dane and Divine at home. We saw about like, 5 movies but what really got my interest was the movie Fireproof.

The movie was released on July 2009 but it's only yesterday I was able to watch it. I ain't no
Christian but I would say it's a great (Christian) movie, particularly for married couples. It's all about having faith in God even at the most unlikely times.

And me, being a strong and all-time-believer of God, I'm giving it a 5-star rate. I don't wanna spoil the movie, well, for those who also haven't seen it yet
(just like me, a couple of days ago) so I'm leaving it to your imaginations.

All the same, it's indeed a great, must-wtach movie. A
life-changing one. (Below's the official trailer)

Who's the Lucky 8?

After a year of laziness, I'm glad that Kristinisms and Everything! is now back, up and running. And having that mentioned, it feels great to know that there are some who really takes time to read my blog.

Earlier today, Kristinisms and Everything! got 8 readers on, all at the same time. Not quite a big number but for a blog who just got back on track, every reader counts.

I actually wonder who's the lucky 8, I feel like giving away prices. Ha! Yeah, maybe not now. Prolly when that 8 reaches at least 10! Yay!

Ben Adams Tweeted Marvin Agustin?

Yes.

Early this morning, I decided to watch Tanging Ina (Last Na'to!) on DVD at home just to make me feel sleepy. Just that. Then, I don't know. When I saw Marvin Agustin on the movie I started talking to myself like, I never really liked this actor (nor any Filipino celebrity) maybe during his younger days with Jolina but not anymore.
Every time he appears on a certain scene I was just curiously looking at him. I don't really have anything against Filipino celebrities, I just don't like them. Plain as that.

Anyways, here's the catch. On my earlier post, I blogged about Ben's tweetback on me during the royal wedding day. I posted it on one of my subscribed A1 groups on Facebook. Now I don't think it's much of a coincidence. I saw a certain post from a fan that it is official, Ben tweeted Marvin Agustin
(Yes, the Marvin Agustin I was watching just this morning) regarding their interest in having a concert here in the Philippines after 7 long years.

I immediately logged on to my Twitter account and saw it for myself. The only question I had in mind is, of all the celebrities, Why Marvin Agustin?

Click image for a larger view.
Just OMG. Ben Adams is contacting Marvin Agustin re their concert? Like, seriously? Whatever. I'm glad Ben's making a move to make it to the Philippines once more.

Now, if Marvin's going to be cooperating with Ben (or whoever) and make A1 concert in 7 years
possible, then maybe, I might like him. Again.

Ha! Kidding.

Tweetback from Ben Adams

Last Friday, 29th of April, as the world knows, was Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding. I wasn't really that interested about them tying the knot until I heard of the wedding venue and it was at the West Minster Abbey in London. If you are a fan, you would know who to think. Yes, Ben Adams. It is a well known fact (for us fans) that he's an ex choir boy at the Abbey. He even twitted a link to a photo during his choir boy days. (Photo shown below.)

Click photo for a larger view.

As expected, the trending topic on twitter that day was the #RoyalWedding. Even celebrities kept on posting random tweets and opinions about the Royal Wedding. Some good. Some bad. And some silly. Some are also making fun of Prince Willy's bald hair. I ain't one of them. Honest! But what I actually liked about the #Royal Wedding, rather that day, is that, I got a tweetback from Ben! (Photo shown below)

Click photo for a larger view.

I have always been an A1 fan ever since and up to this day, I still am. Yes, this me and the fan girl in me. :)

Hainanese Delights

Today, I and my boyfriend had our lunch at Hainanese Delights at Robinson's Galleria and it's a must try, I should say. My boyfriend's been telling me about this a couple of times already and it's only now that I finally got the chance to give it a try.

Hainanese Delights, Robinson's Galleria

I am loving their famous Hainanese Chicken Rice and you can have a taste of it for a very affordable price of Php120. Plus! they offer unlimited rice so it's really worth the try!

Their famous Hainanese Chicken Rice

They also offer a good combination of condiments that makes your every meal a toothsome one.

I am not aware of the other branches as I have only tried dining at their Robinson's Galleria branch. So to those who are within the vicinity of Ortigas, I suggest you drop by. :)

✎Sha-sha.

Her name's Syesha Lou B. Dapitan but just like any other kid, she also go by some sort of a nickname and it's Sha-sha.

She's my boyfriend's only niece and one of my favorite babies in the whole wide universe. She's indeed an angel and the greatest blessing to the family, her uber cute smile can take all the stress away. She's inherited both the looks of her Mom and Dad but more of her dad, I must say (I hope her mom won't hate me for this. Hi Lea!)

The photo on the left (which I stole from her Facebook account. Hehe!), is just one of my personal favorites among all her cute photos.

Isn't she the cutest? :D

Love's A Game

I am no heart broken and I am completely happy with my partner now but let me share you this certain website, Lovesagame.com which I find very helpful for those who are badly needing some counselling on love but too busy to have one.

Lovesagame.com is some sort of an online counselling outlet for every individual who are experiencing some emotional troubles. I must admit it is one of those things that really helped me break through from an awful heart break a couple of years ago. I suggest you give it a try. :)

Free Starbucks from My Boss

Today, my Korean boss is generous enough to treat us a cup of coffee from Starbucks. It's been a week since our office AC broke down and yes, a week of hell for us teachers in here. So yeah, thank you Ms. Phoebe but it would definitely be nicer and better if you get our office AC fixed. Soon.

I actually ordered a Java Chip but apparently Teacher Rinna got my coffee and I got hers too, which is Mocha Frappe. Wee!

A Bonné Spa Milk Salt | Godiva Licowhite Soap

Alright. So, I'm gonna write a random self review about these two beauty products I use on a regular basis, and yes! They are what they say they are.

Let me share you some of my reviews as well as my personal experiences on these products.

As for A Bonné Spa Milk Salt, apart from it's whitening power, what I actually like about this product is that, after every use, it makes my skin so soft and smooth unlike when I use a regular bath soap. Plus it's fine salt bits are milk scented so you will actually feel the milk sensation. Yes!

Now, as for Godiva Licowhite Soap, yes, I'm love with this product too! I have tried lots of whitening soaps already but there is none that is really 'whitening' like what they always claim to be. How I found out about this product was totally unwitting. I was once at Watson's, Robinsons Galleria looking for a milk lotion when I came across this pink shelf with Godiva products in it and saw this Godiva Licowhite Soap. Trusting the brand of the product, I bought it and tried.

After a week of use (combined with A Bonné Spa Milk Salt), the results were great!

At last, I found whitening products that really works and whitens!
